What Type of Jewelry Looks the Best on Me?
Our twitter friend, Yvette Craddock, who is the owner and founder of the website, shopstylefolio.com, recently passed on some great advice to us here at Workchic. Think about when you try on jewelry. We know you are trying to find something fabulous but shouldn’t you be trying to flatter or enhance your facial shape as well? She gave us some tips and tricks that will come in handy when searching for that statement necklace you secretly have been coveting. We listed just an excerpt below. To find out more information..go to this link…http://www.shopstylefolio.com/facial-shapes-best-jewelry-for-my-face/
Yvette even offers a video tip which you can find via http://www.shopstylefolio.com/2009/01/1003/
Facial Shape Tip
If the shape of your eyes are round and you have an angular face, you can select pieces with a mix of curved and angular design elements. See the sample below.
Shape Solver Tip
If you really love a piece that is not the most flattering for your facial shape, layer it with a piece that does flatter your face and you will be able to have your cake and eat it too. Make sure that the dominant piece is the one that is most flattering to you. See the sample below.
Features Tip
Exploit your key features by repeating their shape and scale in your jewelry selections. See the sample below.
Neck Length Tip
If you have a short neck, create the illusion of more length by lowering your jewelry placement point. Avoid chokers. If you have a long neck, create the illusion of a shorter neck by raising the placement point of your jewelry so that it is higher on your neckline/bust area.

We love these tips and also the jewelry that Yvette sells on her site. Don’t expect to find something is mass produced. You won’t have to worry about showing up to work and having your co-worker wearing the same necklace or earrings. Each piece is uniquely handcrafted so the person feels they are purchasing their own personal statement. Here are some of the pieces we love on her site:

The necklace is called Fiscally Fabulous. How cute is that? You can’t go wrong with the Blue Topaz Necklace which is right on trend with the use of pop colors trend this season. Another fiscally fabulous design and for $125, this Turq and Jasper chunky bracelet would look great with a white shirt and jeans for casual days at the office. I am also eyeing the Aquamarine Chandelier earrings which also happens to be my birthstone (hint hint). The earrings are on trend for the bigger the better this season.
We also found some similiar looks on Workchic.com that we just had to share.. We love the $4 price tag on these charlotterusse.com chandelier earrings. Who knew there was a green turquoise which we found below in the triple strand bracelet found at maxandchloe.com. The amazonite, bronzite, and freshwater pearls necklace make such a statement. All of these finds are perfect for that casual or business casual outfit!
Thanks Yvette and shopstylefolio.com for all of the great jewelry tips!

Wow. Love the photos!
