Last week we posted some Workchic gift ideas for your favorite boss. But what if you are checking your gift list and checking it twice and your boss’s name just doesn’t seem to be on it? For those of you who know what I am talking about..it is about the boss that no matter what you do or say- you just can’t seem to please.   Yes that’s the one.

Giving a gift to this type of boss especially in these hard economic times is the furthest thing from your mind. How do you come up with a gift that speaks “I really don’t want to give this to you but I am trying to be the better person in this situation?” If you feel that you have to give something the first tip is to avoid giving personal gifts such as cologne, jewelry, clothes and even alcohol. Even though you think alcohol might alleviate the micromanaging for just one minute -they will be back to their old selves in a day or two. Also keep a spending limit in mind. Keep it simple.
