One of the big trends we have seen lately is uneven hems. Many of these silhouettes are found in t-shirts and more casual styles. Today we made it our mission to find pieces that will work for the office. We turned to one of our favorite stores, shopbop.com, to locate the perfect styles.

You know we love a printed top. Here we have one that dips up and one that V’s down for a non-traditional hem. Notice that both are long enough that the shortest point does not go above your waistline.

Either of these tanks can be layered under a cropped blazer for the office. A shorter jacket will highlight the uneven hem. Finish the look with straight leg trousers for the most impact.

I love this Antonio Melani “Wade” Dress for a hot summer day.  The sleeveless sheath style may be basic in nature but the pleated squareneck bodice adds the right amount of detail.  Make it more business or corporate by pairing it with a black or white blazer and black heels.   Plus you can’t beat the price of $95.40!  What would you wear this dress with to make it more appropriate for a corporate office environment?  We love to hear your thoughts so leave us a comment below.

Ok I admit it.  I am the person that runs out of the house sometimes forgetting to do the shirt inspection. What does that mean? Well it never fails that I get deodorant on my shirt when I am in a rush in the morning.  I’ll notice it when I am already at the office and it never seems to wash off no matter how hard I try.  Determined to find a solution,  I found Miss Oops Rescue Sponges 2-ct. for under $10.  They are dry sponges that you can easily rub on your clothing that will remove the offending deodorant or even makeup mark.  No need to even wet these sponges! I was so inspired by the white blouse we showed from Charles Tyrwhitt this morning, I searched out a few more in different size ranges. As you know, basics are a key building block of your work wardrobe. A white blouse is at the top of our list. Since it’s practically summer, we think it’s time to pick up a style that’s a little less basic. Each of these pieces will still achieve the polished finish of your classic long sleeve style, but feel fresh for summer.

Macy’s selection of petites was well rounded with an amazing number of prints. Of course our hunt is for white blouses today, so we selected Alfani Petite Top, Stretch Cotton Rosette Trim Blouse,  INC International Concepts Petite Top, Cap Sleeve Zip Front, and Jones New York Petite Blouse, Cap Sleeve Pleated Georgette each with their own unique details.  Add a skinny belt in black or a summer pop color to the Alfani funnel neck top.

Lane Bryant was the perfect place to start for plus sizes. Sateen short sleeve buckle shirt has flattering shirring at the bust and buckles at the sleeve hem. We were also blown away by the Grecian draping on this Icon Collection draped woven top. A quick stop at Torrid revealed this White Pleated Cap Sleeve Top with tuxedo detailing.

Visiting the Tall Girl Shop we found some nice blouses amongst the Long Tall Sally collection. Buttermere Blouse has embroidery details, lace hem, and back tie to create a flattering waistline. At Banana Republic, Tall eyelet bib top is 100% cotton in a flowing silhouette. We also found Banana Republic Tall 3/4 sleeve safari shirt with rolled cuffs.

Gomez will offer two full hours of one-on-one demonstrations and tips on makeup application for the workplace to women seeking expert advice on how to wear makeup in a professional environment. All proceeds will go towards the Connelly Center, which gives its students access to high school and college. All donations are tax deductible.
