Comfort factor is the number one requirement in my bra purchasing decision. When the bra doesn’t fit well or is uncomfortable, the aesthetics no longer matter to me. A fancy wired bra? Forget about it. It’s been years since I wore one of these ill-fitting bras. The last thing I need is hard wires digging into my skin in the hot summer weather.
At home, I mostly reach for a sports bra. Over half of my bra inventory is sports bras (or bandeau bras). Why? They offer the comfort that normal bras can’t! I even wear them when out & about depending on the outfit. In fact, I’m wearing my reversible bra as I’m writing at this moment. I find low to medium impact bras with adequate support to be the ideal bra for everyday wear.
Sports bras are not just for yoga classes or workouts but also for those who want relaxed all-day support. Of course we all have sultry lingerie tucked somewhere for certain occasions yet these intimate pieces are not always a practical choice as daily wear. Luckily, there is no shortage of stylish active bras or trendy sports bras to accommodate your specific needs. They can serve multiple wears from going meetings, running errands to power walks in the morning. Another bonus? You can actually show them off!
The style of a bra is a matter of individual needs and personal choice. Sports bras might work perfectly for some women or not at all for others. Also, don’t forget to go “free-boobing” once in a while. Let your breasts breathe. I do that when I sleep to give them a rest from bras.
