I find smoothies are simply wonderful for breakfast.  It’s a quick and healthy meal that will rev up your body prior to starting your work day.  Smoothies provide energy, are very filling, and best of all they are mighty tasty.  I switch up between veggies and fruits every few days to mix up the taste and nutrition.

Here is one of my favorite smoothies.  I don’t have a name for this yet, maybe a Strawberry Almond Smoothie?  There is no need for ice when using frozen fruits.  Smoothies are incredibly versatile – use whatever ingredients you prefer.  Jut throw in & blend away!

Ingredients (adjust each ingredient according to your liking)

frozen strawberries (or your favorite fruits)
almonds
honey
almond milk (or soy milk)
nonfat yogurt (optional)

I stopped into a local Kohl’s in desperate need for a new cardigan.  I have to admit I really loved some of the new pieces from Lauren Conrad’s Fall collection.  Especially since they were retailing under $50!  I love how this reality TV queen stays true to her own style and created a feminine yet wearable collection that has separates suitable for all age ranges.   Take a peek at some of the items you can find on Kohls.com! 

I was just reading my September People Stylewatch and couldn’t help noticing that the hottest skirt lengths for the fall are anywhere from the calf to the ankle.  Now I wasn’t a fan of the 80′s revival of the mini but being petite I am not sure about this 70′s/90′s revival of the long skirt trend either.  I think if you are going to wear a long skirt (especially when you are petite) it is best if you keep your top half fitted so the long skirt doesn’t overwhelm your frame no matter what size you are.  What do you think?  Will you be wearing this long skirt trend this season?

Ok I admit it.  I am really lazy when it comes to getting my clothes tailored.  I don’t know if I can blame it on being an Aries but if my hem on my pants are too long the pants will sit in my closet for a very long time.  There is no reason for this stubborn tailoring adversity since I discovered the Hemming my Way tabs.  These snap strips (which are reusable-gotta love that) let you adjust the hemlength of your pants especially if you are like myself who constantly switches from heels to flats.
