Now is the time to slip into something casual while polished, something comfy yet chic – and that is a denim pencil skirt ladies! A fabulous alternative to the basic black pencil skirt. With a sophisticated silhouette of a pencil skirt, you can easily go from casual to a semi-dressy look depending on the top you wear.
Here is one outfit that will work fabulously on Casual Fridays. This Perfect Denim Skirt is surely perfect with a wonderfully faded finish, slimming lines and just the right knee-length! A lightweight gray jersey top and dark gray cardigan creates a lovely tone-on-tone layering. Last but not least, croco-embossed weekly organizer and stainless steel watch (huge sale!) to keep things in order, in style!

What is the shortest skirt length that is appropriate for a 48 year old designer to wear to see clients in?
First, always consider the dress code at your work place. You should project a professional image that is relevant to your career field.
Whether you are in your 20′s or 50′s, one can wear short skirts to the office (or out meeting clients) but it really all depends on how to pull it off without looking as if you are heading to a club or on a date. But how short is too short? A few inches above the knee with no more than 3 – 4 inches.
Think simple & elegant when wearing shorter lengths. Go with a more conservative top and accessories to bring out the corporate appeal. Pencil skirts or sheath dresses are fail-proof. Especially when worn with tights as they automatically give you more coverage. Below are good examples of wearing shorter skirts or a short dress to work.

Generally speaking, it’s best to avoid anything too short or too tight in the corporate world. However, I’d rather wear a short mini skirt and stilettos any day than show up in sloppy t-shirt and flip flops (those unsightly toes) to work. You can manage to have your LBD as office-ready but the latter, has no hope.

There is absolutely no reason not to enjoy leopard print at work. The key to wearing leopard print is to stick with one key piece at a time. Create a chic ensemble by keeping the rest of the outfit simple especially when wearing to the office – it’s easier to pull off than you think! Add the right touch of glamour to your office ensemble with these bold yet elegant leopard-print pencil skirts.

The business-glam look made easy with a leopard skirt, red blouse, knit jacket, structured satchel, and T-strap pumps. A splash of red (in this case it’s a buttoned blouse) goes fantastic with leopard prints while the rest of the black makes the overall look polished.

If you are still not sure about leopard prints, you can always start with accessories such as leopard-print scarves to complement your outfit. Accessories are a great way to ease into a trend or new style you are not completely sold on or comfortable with in terms of your comfort zone.

Can you believe it’s already June? The scorching heat has arrived for many states even before summer officially began. As temperatures are boiling in the 90′s, just thinking of putting on a suit and leather pumps will make you cringe. In fact, ditching the workwear entirely would be ideal by showing up to work in tanks, cutoffs, and flip-flops. Well, that wouldn’t be so professional right? Downright sloppy! Regardless of the season or weather, it is important to dress in the proper work attire to represent your professionalism (unless you have no dress code). Here are some chic, lovely options to keep you looking and feeling cool at the work and other summer occasions/outings as well. For those that work in sub zero offices, always have a couple of lightweight layering pieces just in case.
Sophisticated dresses are a workwear essential. We like the flattering silhouette and light feel of these three dresses.

We all have basic tees yet many of us are not getting the best use out of them. I often see them mainly worn with just jeans or sweats. There are a ton of ways to enjoy basic tees as they are truly versatile (wear with everything, really!). This summer, style your white tee with a dressy skirt like the one shown in the photo. A pleated skirt in a cool blue hue and casual white top is a match made in heaven.

A fitted tee is the way to go rather than the baggy style. Slim fitting tops beautifully balance a fuller skirt. The pleated skirts we chose below look sophisticated while more forgiving than most pencil skirts.

Wear the skirt slightly above the waist, then cinch with a belt to elongate your legs. With a simple basic top, have fun with accessories! You can also top the outfit with a cropped blazer or tweed jacket for a more sophisticated office look.
