Any true fashionista would not contest that Diane von Furstenberg is the queen of wrap dresses. Her signature frock has become a staple piece in women’s wardrobes ever since they debuted in the 70′s. A versatile wrap dress can go practically anywhere – from work to a party, from the boardroom to a tropical resort. I’m particularly smitten with the chain print wrap dress in classic black & white as seen on Diane herself below.

When we think of Hollywood icons, Elizabeth Taylor is one of the few names that come to mind. How can anyone possibly forget this remarkable woman? The looks, the style, the fame and the legacy all cement Liz as the queen of the Hollywood. Looking back at her photos and movies along with all of her life achievements, it’s no surprise really. Her exquisite style is something to be admired as well. Elizabeth embraced classic old Hollywood style both on & off screen, making her one of the fashion icons of her era.
Infuse old Hollywood glamour into your wardrobe including your workwear! An easy way to do this would be to wear just one or two pieces at a time to keep the retro style work well with the rest of the outfit – it’s all about mixing & matching. Wearing vintage to work can be tricky but you can achieve it by adding subtle touches of vintage such these key pieces – swing coat and kitten heels for the look below. They are easy retro-inspired pieces that you can seamlessly incorporate into your work wardrobe. A tailored dress along with structured bag make the whole ensemble office-appropriate.
For you Liz fans, the Lifetime chanel will be showing a film called Liz & Dick chronicling the relationship of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. We are interested to see Lindsay Lohan’s transformation into Elizabeth Taylor, just the wardrobe alone. Lohan supposedly had 66 different costume changes for this 80 minute film. Would you watch the biopic?
Lindsay Lohan stars as the legendary dame Elizabeth Taylor alongside Grant Bowler as celebrated actor Richard Burton in the Lifetime Original Movie Liz & Dick, making its world premiere Sunday, November 25, at 9pm ET on Lifetime. Based on the true story of the couple’s passionate and tumultuous love affair Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton were Hollywood royalty and their fiery romance — often called “the marriage of the century” — was the most notorious, publicized and celebrated love affair of its day. http://www.mylifetime.com/movies/liz-and-dick
