search tailor list > We all know buying clothing is difficult, from size to shape, you just never know how that perfect dress will fit. We here at Workchic.com are trying to change that. We have poured over size charts and measurement pages to establish this fit guide just for you. Use our guidance to measure your body and see where you fall. Remember these are average sizes from a variety of companies to give you a jumping off point. Below each chart are links to actual size guidelines of many of the shops we support. Now as we have said before, and will say again, you can’t shy away from a great item based on that little number on the tag. What is important is that your clothes fit in a way that best displays your unique body shape. If you have to buy something a little larger to fit a fuller chest or curvy hips, just go for it. Then visit our tailor list to find someone that can adjust the garment for your perfect fit.
Also remember that size will depend on the item. You might be one size in pants and another size altogether in tops. Here’s how to measure: Bust is right around the apex, waist is at your belly button/natural waist, and hips are 7-8” below your natural waist. Inseam length is not included in this chart. But, please pay attention to this when buying pants. If you are on the shorter size but generally don’t consider yourself a “petite” please check out that chart as well. You might find that going up one size in the petite’s is your perfect solution to finding the right length in pants and skirts.
To further help you fit your unique body shape we have created outfit tips and tricks on Polyvore. Scan through these to learn more about which skirt will flatter you the most or where the neckline should hit on your favorite tshirt. We also blog about this frequently and have started a Fitting Room Series. Here is quick link to learn more about dressing for the office and your body.
